Eastridge Rising is a ministry operating at Eastridge Baptist church. Currently there are two week-day ministries funded by Eastridge Rising. ALL of the donations go to the purchase of food. Food is prepared and delivered by volunteers. None of the donations go to anything but the cost of food.
Senior meals are generous portions! Our seniors LOVE them! Delivery is also a wellness check. Our volunteers have literally saved the lives of our clients 3 times! The cost of food for Senior meals is- $1.50 ea. /$75 per day / $375 per week/$21,000 per year!
Eastridge Bible Kidz is our program that takes place after every school day from 3:30-6p.m. We currently have 50 children from PK-7th enrolled. They are given a meal upon arrival, then spend the rest of the time in praise and worship, bible study, verse memorization, doing crafts and playing. For many of our kids. This is the last meal of the day till morning. Each meal cost $1 ea! /$50 per day/$250 per week/ $8750 per year!
Sooo....... that means it takes $29,750 per year to operate both these programs. THAT IS 22.750 MEALS!!!!!!!!!! We receive $0 in government funding, $0 from grants, we depend solely on people like me and you who care. So how can you give?
